Dietrich Wins, Heckman Sweeps in His KBR/SKE Debut at Millbridge
SALISBURY, N.C. - Emily Dietrich went to victory lane, and Grant Heckman made quite a first impression in a KBR/SKE rental kart Saturday night at Millbridge Speedway.
Dietrich won the SKE Intermediate feature and finished second in Restricted Micro, while Heckman came from Bakersfield, California, climbed into a KBR/SKE Jr. Sprint for the first time and promptly won both his heat race and the A Main.
Not a bad way to introduce yourself.
Heckman quickly adapted to unfamiliar equipment and gave the KBR/SKE rental program a win in his first night in the car! Trace Latour finished fifth in the Jr. Sprint feature, putting two KBR/SKE drivers inside the top five.
Dietrich led another strong KBR/SKE showing in SKE Intermediate. Cole Sculthorpe finished third, while Kylea "Speedy" Beattie came home fourth.
Kylea also raced from sixth to fourth in the Jr. Wing feature after finishing third in her heat, continuing a late-season stretch that has seen her regularly contend near the front.
In Beginner Box Stock, Latour finished fifth, while Kruz Horseman crossed the line sixth.
"Handsome" Harry Stallard had a tougher night in the Micro division, as the 07 was unable to start the A Main.
The KBR/SKE family of racers will return to Millbridge Speedway Wednesday, Oct. 28, for the final Wednesday race of the season.
We would love to have you at the track to cheer us on. Race time is 6:15 p.m. Eastern. If you cannot make it out, the action will once again be live on DirtVision.
KBR also has rental Outlaw Karts and Micro Sprints available for qualified drivers. Email kylebeattieracing@yahoo.com for information.
