Sculthorpe Sweeps Intermediate Night as KBR/SKE Battles Through Millbridge Wednesday

SALISBURY, N.C. - Cole Sculthorpe put together a perfect night Wednesday at Millbridge Speedway, sweeping every portion of the SKE Intermediate program and giving Kyle Beattie Racing and SKE Chassis another trip to victory lane.

Sculthorpe set fast time, won his heat race, and then finished the job by winning the feature.  The young British racer is now a weekly contender, as evidenced by yet another strong performance on Wednesday.

Emily Dietrich finished fifth in the Intermediate feature, while Kylea "Speedy" Beattie came home sixth.

Karter "Katfish" Beattie looked ready to add another strong Open Outlaw result after starting from the pole and leading the opening laps of the feature.

Mechanical trouble changed the night.

Karter was forced backward through the field and eventually finished seventh, ending what had begun as a promising run at the front.

His luck did not improve later in the Non-Wing Micro feature. Karter started 17th but did not finish and was credited with 19th.

Dietrich also competed in Restricted Micro and finished sixth.

For Sculthorpe, however, Wednesday was another reminder of just how strong his late-season run has become. Fast time, a heat win, and a feature victory made for a clean sweep of the night and another strong result for the KBR/SKE program.

The KBR/SKE family returns to Millbridge Speedway Saturday, Oct. 17, with on-track action beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Come to the track, stop by the KBR/SKE pit and say hello, or cheer us on from home with live coverage on DirtVision.
