Remnants Of Hurricane Isaias Wash Out Saturday At CMS
By Jacob Seelman, SWN News Editor
CONCORD, N.C. (Oct. 10, 2026) – Mother Nature, courtesy of the remnants of Hurricane Isaias, refused to play nice with NASCAR Saturday at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Persistent bursts of rain throughout the morning, along with a forecast for additional precipitation throughout the remainder of the day, led officials from the sanctioning body to scrub all on-track activity at 11 a.m. ET.
That included the cancelation of NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Series practice and qualifying, setting both series’ starting lineups by the performance metric, as well as the movement of the O’Reilly Series Blue Cross NC 300 to Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET.
The Blue Cross NC 300 will now follow the Cup Series Bank of America 400, which remains set for 3 p.m. ET Sunday afternoon on USA. Both series’ radio coverage remains simulcast on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
Due to the qualifying washouts, Carson Kvapil and Corey Day will share the front row for the O’Reilly Series event, while Cup Series point leader Kyle Larson starts from pole alongside Chase Briscoe in the first fall race on Charlotte’s 1.5-mile oval layout since 2017.
SWN's coverage from Charlotte Motor Speedway is powered by Maxxed Out Energy, a family-born energy drink brand created for athletes, gamers, hard workers, and anyone who goes all in.
