GREENBRIER, Ark. (Oct. 6, 2026) – Jordon Mallett is eager for a unique event this weekend when Riverside Int’l Speedway hosts the Flip Flop 50.
The dirt oval in West Memphis, Ark., showcases the twin 25-lap USCS Series main events on Saturday following Friday’s heat races and dash.
“We’ve won one of the features and traditionally we’ve ran really well there,” said Mallett, who drives for A.G. Rains. “The last time we ran it was in 2024 in A.G.’s car so we’re looking forward to it. We passed for the lead in the first feature, but didn’t complete the lap before a caution came out so we ran second.”
Mallett produced his best overall event in 2024 with a runner-up result during the first feature before charging from the back to a ninth-place finish. He was victorious during one of the Flip Flop 50 features in 2016.
“You want to get yourself into the dash that they run on Friday,” he said. “If you can do that you can sleep well Friday night and put yourself into contention for the first feature on Saturday. There’s strategy some guys play because if you’re not going to win the first feature how far forward do you want to finish because the second feature will be inverted. My thought process is simple. I want all we can get in the first one. It’s almost a pat on the back on how far back you start the second one because that shows how good you were in the first feature.
“It’s really the only place we’ve had this format. We’ve been on the good end of it before and on the bad end of it before. The format is so different than anything else you’ll run all year. It’s a fun race.”
Mallett has two top-five finishes and three top 10s in three starts at Riverside Int’l Speedway this season.
