Ballard Takes Port City Momentum Into Five-Week Stretch
TULSA, Oklahoma -- Levi Ballard heads into one of the busiest stretches of his season, preparing for five consecutive weekends of racing after scoring two third-place finishes at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Ballard competed in a 26-car Restricted Micro field at Port City and reached the podium both nights, though he took two very different paths to get there.
Levi opened the weekend second-quickest in hot laps before advancing from fourth to second in his heat race. Starting fourth in the feature, he gained another position and finished third.
Night two required a little more work.
Ballard was 15th in hot laps, then charged from ninth to fifth in his heat race. That put him sixth on the starting grid for the feature, where he moved forward three more positions to earn his second third-place finish of the weekend.
The two podiums give Ballard momentum as Team Levi Racing digs in for the final portion of a demanding five-week stretch right into November.
“Thank you to Factory Fourteen, Holley, Billy, Thomas, Brent, Grady, CB Industries, Chad Boat, Keizer Racing Wheels, K1 RaceGear, Dirt Crowd, and all my supporters. I also want to thank my Papa and Yaya for making the trip to watch me. I am hoping the rain stays away so I can race ANYWHERE this weekend.”
With five straight weekends of racing ahead, Ballard and Team Levi Racing will look to keep building on a season and career that has already included wins, championships, and thousands of miles on the road.
