SANDUSKY, Ohio (Jan. 14, 2026) – ThorSport Racing announced Thursday afternoon that Jake Garcia will return for another full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign with the organization, though he’ll shift to the team’s iconic No. 98 entry for 2026.
Garcia previously drove the No. 13 for team owners Duke and Rhonda Thorson, but now steps into the entry which celebrated a Truck Series championship with Ty Majeski in 2024 and has had consistent winning success in NASCAR’s third-highest series for nearly two decades.
The Monroe, Ga., native – who turns 21 on March 3 – enters his fourth year in the Truck Series and third with ThorSport fresh off a postseason appearance in 2025, where he qualified on points and ended the year 10th in the championship standings.
Garcia aims to build on a résumé that includes five top-five and 21 top-10 finishes in 75 career starts. He also has three pole positions, all of which came last year in his best statistical season thus far.
“I want to thank Duke, Rhonda, and Allison Thorson for their trust and support as I continue with ThorSport Racing,” said Garcia, whose longtime sponsor Quanta Services will continue as his primary partner in 2026.
“A special thank you to Mike Curb for believing in me to carry on the legacy of the No. 98, as well as Quanta Services for standing behind this program.”
This year will mark Curb Records’ 17th season as the listed owner of the No. 98 and a major partner of the ThorSport organization. Altogether, Curb has 20 victories in 396 races alongside the Thorson family.
“Curb Records is a proud partner with ThorSport Racing for our 17th year [on] the No. 98 Ford F-150, and we’re excited to welcome Jake Garcia behind the wheel for the 2026 NASCAR Truck Series season,” said Mike Curb, founder of Curb Records.
Garcia will debut in the No. 98 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing during the season-opening Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona (Fla.) Int’l Speedway, with broadcast coverage airing Friday night, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. ET on FS1.
