SALISBURY, N.C. -- Karter Beattie, 13, raced to a fifth place finish in his 600 Micro Sprint at Millbridge Speedway on Wednesday night.  Beattie, who came into the evening on a two-race win streak with his No. 7, ran with the leaders all night on a challenging track for passing to earn his third straight top five.

He was going for a podium finish in his outlaw kart but mechanical issues knocked him out of the main event in that class.

"Both cars were really fast for the features," Beattie said. "The track turned into a one-groove track and with the Micro, it was just tough to pass.  We were right there.  I am still learning in that car.  The Outlaw Kart was really quick but we had a motor issue I think and weren't able to finish.  I can't thank my sponsors, team, and family enough for all they do for me.  Tonight was fun. We are going to race a non-winged Micro for the first time this Saturday (October 19th) at Millbridge, so I'm looking forward to that."

Karter has a pretty steep list of supporters already, including The Joie of Seating, SKE Chassis, Mills Ammunition, Ballard Incorporated - Green Industry Accessories, Kyle Beattie Racing & Driver Development, Jockos Sprint Parts, MPI - Max Papis Innovations, Cabinets Trim & More, LJ Dezigns Apparel & Wraps, PMP Chassis.
