CONCORD, N.C. -- Photos by Christian Wilson For SWN -- Sam Mayer capitalized on a late caution flag thrown for Leland Honeyman Jr's crash seconds before leader Parker Kligerman crossed the line to take the white flag, passing Kligerman following the overtime restart to win Saturday's NC Drive For The Cure 250 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  

The win allowed Mayer and his JR Motorsports team to advance to the round of 8 in NASCAR's Xfinity Series Playoffs and continue his chase for a championship in his final year of racing for the team.  

Mayer will be moving over to the Ford camp to race for the newly reformed Gene Haas team in 2025, continuing in the Xfinity Series.

Kligerman finished second in his final year of full-time NASCAR competition, giving the Big Machine No. 48 a determined drive.  Shane Van Gisbergen finished third.  Van Gisbergen also scored his first NASCAR Cup Series pole earlier in the day, proving that the No. 13 can indeed be good luck at times.
