Brendan Young Racing Fundraiser Saturday July 13th At Dryden Hotel

DRYDEN, N.Y. -- Oswego Speedway 350 Supermodified racer Brendan Young will hold a fundraiser this Saturday, July 13th from noon to 4 pm at the Dryden Hotel in Dryden, NY.  There will be a chicken BBQ, music, and raffles.  Brendan's sharp-looking "Purple People Eater" no. 75 will be on hand, and a good time is promised for all.

Young has made tremendous strides in his second year of racing at Oswego Speedway.  He finished third on June 1st and then he finished second in the next race.

Of that runner-up finish, he said, "Talen was fast on the restarts. He drove me hard, but he drove me fair. I couldn't get by him on the outside and I knew that was my shot. We had a fast car that night. I was waiting for Josh Sokolic to make a move on me from third, but thankfully, that move never happened. That was a fun night.  We're still developing consistency and this division is really competitive. I have to thank my Dad, stepdad Steve, my Mom, my girlfriend Lindsey, Zach and John on the crew, Mike Barbera, Top Quality Construction, Tracey Road Equipment, KML Transport, Dryden Hotel, and anybody else I'm missing for all they are doing this year.  We'll keep chasing that first win and I do think we're close."

Talking about his fundraiser, Young invites anyone who wants to join in on the fun to attend.  "We'd like to see all the Oswego Speedway fans there on Saturday.  The fans are the best there, and the opportunity to race there is amazing.  The Dryden Hotel has supported us all the way, and they have laid out a fun afternoon of food, games, and race talk.  It is a night off at the track, so we invite fans to make the short drive to Dryden and join us on Saturday."

Brendan's sponsors include KML Trucking, Top Quality Construction, RC3, Dryden Hotel, and Tracey Road Equipment.  His next race will be on Saturday, July 20th at the Oswego Speedway.
